This ORIGINAL bucket list zipline adventure activity consists of an exhilarating 4×4 journey through the nature reserve, then soar through the air on 11 thrilling slides, some over 300m long.
Each zipline ends on a platform constructed on the cliffs and fynbos covered mountain slopes above the Riviersonderend Gorge.
Activity Description
Just over an hour from Cape Town, the Cape Canopy Tour is situated in a World Heritage Site within CapeNature’s Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, located in the scenic Elgin Valley.
This international award winning tour, consists of eleven thrilling zipline slides, some over 300m long, each ending on a platform constructed on the cliffs and fynbos-covered mountain slopes above the Riviersonderend Gorge. A unique suspension bridge between a narrow sandstone ravine high above a spectacular double waterfall is guaranteed to be one of the unforgettable highlights of the tour.
Cape Canopy Tour is a fully guided nature experience with a strong emphasis on client comfort and safety. Two trained facilitators will accompany each group on the 4-5 hour tour. They will provide information about the endemic fynbos and geology of this unique World Heritage Site.

Weather: Mildly Weather, you will be advised before the time if your tour is cancelled due to the weather
What to Wear: Comfortable practical clothes for ziplining. (very short denim shorts are not practical once you have a harness on).
Things to Bring: Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, warm jacket, rain jacket on drizzly days, a small light backpack, phone or camera.
Guests or Spectators: Only paying guests will be allowed on the tour.

Notes
Vehicles operate on rotation, so please be sure to arrive at least 10-15min BEFORE your tour time. Please allow for sufficient travel time, as your tour will start promptly and they are unable to accommodate guests that arrive after their tour start time.
This is an adventure activity, and thus a reasonable level of fitness is recommended: you will need to hike for 1km up and out of the mountain after the tour. A moderate level of fitness, as well as uppe
